Hopefully we are done with this. As it turned out we only had seven ctrl+alt+delete loop machines, not as many as I had at first estimated -none of them touchscreen or onscreen keyboard. All were 32 bit. I had one possible case of a glitchy Outlook which later on seemed to be fine. Fresh images for all of them yesterday and they are back in use this morning.
